Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Assist with contractor coordination

Assist with scheduling access equipment

Assist with preparing condition assessment reports

Assist with developing repair recommendations and cost estimates

Assist with preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction

Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality


Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities

Perform other related duties as assigned


Job Requirements

Required Skills

Analytical thinking, problem-solving and organization

Ability to work on multiple project assignments in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment

Experience in using Microsoft Office software including WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint

Ability to write, speak, and communicate effectively


Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program with a structural concentration

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or must be able to obtain within 1 year

0-4 years or more experience in performing in-service bridge safety, ancillary and other structural inspections

Hold an active, valid driver’s license


Job Preferences

Preferred Experience

Successfully completed FHWA approved comprehensive bridge inspection safety course meeting National Bridge Inspection Standards (23 CFR 650, Subpart C (FHWA-NHI-130055)

Experience in MicroStation, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu



Preferred Certifications

OSHA Fall Protection Training

OSHA Confined Space Training

Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) training

CSX/Norfolk Southern RR Contractor Safety Badge

MTA RWP Training
